πŸŽ‰ Kirtan ~ Chanting sacred sounds - make a joyful noise ✨🎢🎢

Kirtan is the singing and chanting of sacred sanskrit mantras, usually accompanied to music and drums. It is a form of Bhakti Yoga (the yoga of devotion.)

At Derekthedog we hold regular Kirtans, usually once every two months. We are joined by Barry Kristadas and his Kirtan band 'Gopi Gita.' This is a great opportunity to get together in a friendly supportive atmosphere, meet new and old friends. You dont even need to be able to sing very well! Children are always welcome. We usually serve a modest spread of healthy vegan and vegetarian snacks and drinks.

This is a charity event and proceeds go to supporting yoga charities: Birthlight and the Yoga Biomedical trust.
